Kasper Marott and Alfredo92 launch new label Axces

Releasing music from the Danish capital, the first EP ‘OS To’ is set to be released this April

Kasper Marott and Alfredo92 launch the community-based label Axces, releasing music from their extensive community in the Danish capital.

While some attention recently has been given to the fast techno scene of Denmark, other interesting sounds is also cooking in the north. An example is one of last summers festival favourites, the Italo-leaning Keflavik released on Modeselektors Seilscheibenpfeiler, created by the very same Kasper Marott that is now starting his own imprint.

The roster of Axces will consist of local friends and hang arounds from their infamous studio in the Northwest of Copenhagen. There will be no specific genre tied to the label, so leftfield and ambient is just as welcome as techno and house.

“With Axces we’re creating a shortcut into our universe. We’re quite a large group of friends who’ve done parties and music together for many years. In that sense, Axces more a community than solely a label. Going forward it’s important for us to release great music from people we know and care for,” they explain.

The debut release “Os To” (which translates into “the two of us”) is produced by label owners Alfredo92 and Kasper Marott presenting two percussion-heavy cuts.

On the A-side, you’ll find the ever-evolving title track “Os To (Johnny DJ All Star Bubble Gum Mixie)” leading the listener on an ethereal journey. On the flip, the floor-ready groover “Fest På Taget (Tandoori’s Partii Mix)” is a drum-based tribal piece inspired by the organic sound of the sound system culture and street dances.

Axces already have two more release lined-up. AXS2 will present local artist Popmix while AXS3 is gonna be a solo release by label owner Alfredo92.
