Dekmantel announce full opening concert program

Today, Dekmantel launches its full program for the Openings Concerts on the 4th of August, which are part of Dekmantel Festival 2016. New announced acts include avant-garde electronica pioneers Cabaret Voltaire, Brazilian jazz-trio Azymuth, the celebration of 20 years Raster-Noton, and Nine Inch Nails collaborator Alessandro Cortini. A 2016 exclusive live-show from James Holden, afro-beat legend Tony Allen and Shackleton & Ernesto Tomasini were already announced in February.

All Opening Concerts of Dekmantel Festival take place in four cultural institutions around Amsterdam’s IJ-river. Like last year Dekmantel visits the awe-inspiring Muziekgebouw again but will in 2016 also set up shop at Bimhuis, EYE film museum and Paradiso’s new dependence Tolhuistuin. All locations are located conveniently close to each other and are accessible through free ferry rides. In addition, Dekmantel will as well offer lectures, a film screening, and a complementary night-program on August 4th (of which the details are to be announced soon).
