The ‘Club Injury Handbook’, Carey’s debut on Greco-Roman, continues his run of sizzling, vanguard dance music. Jumping from sound to sound, he ropes in MCs Chocolate & Kid Kairo of esteemed Mountain Studio in Sydney to assist on stand-out cut ‘Monomiles’. Elsewhere, Carey harnesses a suite of wheezing synthesizer sounds for the EP’s crushing title track.
Club Injury Handbook was released on 1st December and you can hear it in full via FACT.
Over on XLR8R, Dro Carey (a.k.a. Eugene Ward) has also contributed to ‘Real Talk’, their series of artist-penned essays, and elected to address a topic that most artists shy away from: mental illness.
