From Thursday August 4 to Sunday August 7, Dekmantel will once again offer an eye-catching selection of some of the biggest left-field names in electronic music. This year’s line-up includes stand out performances such as James Holden & Camilo Tirado’s new show ‘Outdoor Museum Of Fractals, afrobeat legend Tony Allen performing with his band, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & Adrian Sherwood, the only 2016 appearance of post-punk band ESG, and the return of firm favorites such as Ricardo Villalobos, Dixon, Moodymann, DJ Harvey, Donato Dozzy and Jeff Mills.

It goes without saying that the stunning natural surroundings of the Amsterdamse Bos remain the pinnacle of Dekmantel Festival. We also continue our complementary night program in Amsterdam’s iconic Melkweg. On the Thursday we are heading towards the city’s IJ-river again, and we will set up shop at several new landmark locations for a series of opening concerts. Like last year, the awe-inspiring Muziekgebouw will be one of the key venues, but this year we’re adding EYE Film Institute, Paradiso’s Tolhuistuin and Bimhuis. To create an electronic music hub on the 4th of August, allvenues are linked with free ferry-services and an additional free cultural program. Dekmantel Festival will have roughly 150 artists on offer this summer.
